Wiggly Raggedy Ann and the Angry Lion

Somewhere along the way Lilly decided she would be called Wiggly Raggedy Ann...don't know where the wiggly came from but it is ironically appropriate!

And Ben as we now know was at the beginning of not feeling well and the whole wear a lion costume thing did not help! Actually he was pretty stinkin' mad about the dressing up thing! It didn't help that he was dressed for a blizzard and it was 80 degrees outside:) So needless to say, the costume got ditched once we got pictures!

The traditional street shot with our fun friends! Can't believe how big they are all getting!

Lilly and her buddy and neighbor Maddie as the beautiful ballerina!

The Incredible Scott

Incredible Hulk and the Silver Surfer...both studs ready to take on a Crossfit workout! Sam is a trainer at Crossfit and invited Scott to a workout in the park superhero style for Halloween!

They had various pumpkin warm ups, lots of burpies...a torturous push up jumping combo thing, potato sack race and lots of other "fun" stuff!

Good form there buddy:)

and when all was said and done...the once Incredible Hulk looked a lot like my Incredible yet tired hubby Scott! Love ya baby...you are so much FUN!!!

Pumpkin Carvin' is GROSS!

We thought maybe this would be the year Lilly decided pumpkin carving was cool...well, she still thinks it is disgusting! At least she held parts of the pumpkin this year!

Ben touched the goo, made a face and he was over the whole pumpkin thing! But oh, look at those eyes...love his big brown eyes with those eyelashes that are to die for!

More pumpkin parts...tongue out = GROSS

And the final product...Lilly loved it! She did help pick out the seeds so we could roast them...but every time time she touched goo she said "gross, disgusting...right momma?"!

Fall Festival Day at Pre-School

I was so excited to go to school with Lilly last week for her fall festival day! They painted pumpkins, decorated cookies, went "fishing", found eggs and even "milked a cow"

Face Painted Beauty

Lilly and her best school bud Hallie

They also enjoyed a tractor ride around the soccer field:) Lilly, you are such a wonderful student and I loved getting to see how well you obey your teacher and how kind you are to your friends...I love you sweet girl!

P-I-T-I-F-U-L

This is little man getting a breathing treatment at home:( He came down with bronchitis this week and has been one very sick and miserable little boy. Today we went back to the Dr. for a follow up only to discover his lungs were getting better but he was on the verge of a trip to the hospital due to dehydration...poor little guy would not eat or drink anything! So we prayed and prayed this afternoon that he would drink drink drink and pee pee pee...all by 2:00...the deadline the Dr. gave us for a wet diaper or else...
We are happy to report.....drum roll please...he PEED!!! He is still one sick little man but hopefully the worst is over and we can get back to some smiles around here!

My New Photography Class

My friend and I signed up for a photography class...so far I really am having fun...forcing me out of my comfort zone with photography! Our first assignment was to shoot a sunset with someone in the pic...forcing us to work with the lighting of both objects...we raced to the beach last night to catch the last of the days rays!

Ben won't stand still for a picture but Lilly is loving to pose = lots of pics of Lilly and not many of Little Man these days:)

Thanks honey for watching the kiddos so I can go to class:) I know it's no small commitment for you...9 hours a week is no small feat! I love you baby!

My Hubby ROCKS at Birthday's!

You have to know Scott to totally appreciate this birthday surprise he gave me this year! Just for a touch of history...last year he got me a red toaster...I can't even have bread! He just figured we needed a new toaster and I like the color red...so you do the math! Needless to say I have given him comical grief over this for the past year! So in typical engineer man style...when he puts his mind to something he goes all out! And I am the blessed recipient of him! This was my 35th ... so it was a big one...and he planned big! I didn't know what was going on until 30 minutes before...he had arranged for our dear friends and neighbors to keep both kids for the entire afternoon and night and then told me to get ready we were leaving for Raleigh in 30 minutes! He had arranged for us along with two other couples to drive up, enjoy dinner at P.F. Chang's (they have a gluten free menu!!!) and then go to see BRIAN REGAN! You have to YouTube him...he is the funniest comedian ever! Great food, great friends and great laughs...totally my kind of night! Way to go hubby! We did have some time to kill before dinner so we hit up a Brookstone store to get the laughs started for the night! HILARIOUS! The guy working came out of the store after we left to tell us we had been the most fun customers he had had all day! I think if we had been teenagers we may have been kicked out..but due to our "mature" ages they smiled with the "bless their hearts" kind of smile and let us play!

Sorry Penny...couldn't resist! This would be our small group leader's wife...she is a blast! This is a small mechanical bull to help build your core...more laughs than I could handle! Her dear hubby even took 1/2 day off work to join us...I felt so loved!

Mmmm...our buds Sam and Tarrah...they had to get childcare for their 3 kiddos for the day and night as well...I so appreciate them taking the time to celebrate with us! They are so much fun to laugh with...Scott and I have decided we get along with them so well because he and Tarrah are alike and Sam and I are alike...leading to many laughs and always a good time! We love you friends!

Do you notice how well we all match? Totally not planned...but quite impressive don't you think? My abs were sore from all the laughs by this point in the evening and we hadn't even made it to the show yet!
My Love, thank you for such a wonderful night...one that you designed just for me...you know me and knew what I would love and I did indeed...you make being 35 awesome! I love you my life partner...and thanks for not getting me another kitchen gadget this year:)
