Grandpa Ed surprised Grandma Sharla with a trip to Florida to celebrate their 35th Anniversary...and at the end of their trip they chose a side trip to NC to see Grand kids over Epcot! We were soooo excited to see them! So, we tried to make the most of our weekend with them and hit the strawberry patch!
Grandpa had to keep an eye on Lilly to make sure we didn't end up with squishy ones or green ones in our buckets. Funny she never picked yucky ones to put in her mouth!
There were sooo many beautiful strawberries and we ended up with 2 buckets full of strawberries and a partial bucket of blueberries...they are just beginning to ripen and are delicious!
As you can tell from Lilly's shirt she did much taste testing and they are sugary sweet! We of course had to try out some strawberry and blueberry ice cream afterwards...we did work hard harvesting our crop!

Yummmm!!!! Sounds like fun with parents there. It looks like Ben wants to get out and get some strawberries. Would he be walking or crawling to get those strawberries?
Oh to be eating ice cream topped with fresh berries, what an inspiration!
