Christmas Cookie Time

Lilly and I set out to make some Christmas cookies for our decorating party this past Saturday. For complete details on that party check out my friend Christine's blog...she gives a great recap! And as a side note, I am wearing my great-grandmother Lillian's apron that she made...my Grannie just passed it on to me during our last visit! I love it and it made baking even more fun!

Lilly has improved her rolling skills from last year! We had such a good time together, just the two of us and had flour EVERYWHERE...evidence of a great time!

Here you can see that the kids all abandoned post at the decorating table and the adults kicked in to finish decorating an obnoxious number of cookies!

Last year we started this decorating party tradition and of course the men in the group needed to turn it into a competition...so above left received a barely honorable mention designed by Mr. Chris, the HUGE shooting star, complements of Matt and Scott though tagged with a 1st place cookie ribbon gives proof that bigger is not always better and then there are the meticulously perfect cookies by our dear neighbor Tony that took first place hands down. Would you have chosen differently??? Thanks for a wonderful party sweet neighbors, we had a blast!
