Surgery Update

This is an update from Steve per Anne's requst:

The surgery went well yesterday and the doctors are pleased with the results. There was only one complication which was a "pain". After surgery, they were not able to get a pain blocker into the back of Anne's leg which resulted in severe pain until they could get her started on pain medication. Anne says she experienced the severest of pains and that is coming from an expert in the field of pain. They were also trying to get an IV into her and were having difficulty. Anne says they all got a chance to try which resulted in several little bruises all over. She is now doped and happy with the ability to control the pain medication which she has set to max.

Anne did well through the night while on a machine that constantly moves her leg. Today she will be going through intensive physical therapy and will be putting weight on her leg and using it. Anne says that Scott has done a great job taking care of her and he was even able to get a good nights rest while sleeping on a chair next to Anne. Scott is proud of how well Anne has handled everything.

They thank you for your prayers but please pray that Anne would recover quickly. Anne will post pictures as soon as they are home.

From the Nanny Brigade front, the kids are doing really well. Lilly misses her parents a lot and pretends to get calls from them. When she does talk to her Mama or Papa, she becomes very sad because she misses them SOO much!! We are all counting down the days until Scott and Anne can come home!
