Cafe Du Monde

We had heard from several people that we just had to try a Beignet
from Cafe Du Monde...we arrived, saw the line and thought "is it really worth it...?"

Yep...totally worth every minute we waited in line!  It was interesting, not what we expected at all.  We waited in line, in the hot sun so that we could sit at a dirty table, outside..totally packed, squished together tables.  The only thing on the menu were the Beignets and coffee...that was it.  Apparently they know who needs to be served because you sit at your dirty table until they are ready to take your order.  It seemed a bit backwards...but it worked!

I could not believe the amount of powdered sugar on these things...and Lillian and Benjamin could not believe we were encouraging them to dig in!  I can't even begin to describe how much fun we had as a family during this trip.
